Welcome to My Fundraising Page
When loved ones are first diagnosed with cancer, we hope and pray for a treatment and a cure. There is also a need to find some way to help others that are on the same journey with this dreaded disease.
I formed Team Riverside in 2008 as a way to honor a friend's son who was battling cancer. In October of 2010, my husband Bob was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. Throughout his lifetime he had been afflicted with heart disease and diabetes and faced each of these challenges with a positive outlook. Rapidly progressing lung cancer was one battle that Bob could not overcome. Sadly, he passed away only a month later on November 12, 2010. We had enjoyed nearly 29 wonderful years together. During those years, Bob dedicated much of his time to various Veterans Organizations in Lowell and Dracut and was serving in his second term as the Commander of the Dracut American Legion. Bob was a Vietnam Veteran who served proudly in the US Air Force.
My committmet and dedication to TeamWalk is a way for me to honor Bob and keep his memory alive forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Thank you to those who have given donations in past years. Your generosity is truly appreciated.
Captain, Team Riverside
