Welcome to Our Fundraising Page
Most of you know that I have done the Lowell General Cancer Care teamwalk in the past with members of my family in memory of my Dad and in honor of my sister who is a breast cancer survivor. The walk takes on even more significance for me this year as I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and have seen first hand how the money raised from this one event helps cancer patients, in my case it was to pay for a head cooling cap to use during chemotherapy treatments. The loss of all my hair terrified me (more so than the chemo treatment) and I was fortunate enough that money raised by teamwalk paid for the cooling cap which costs approximately $500.00. I wore the cap during every chemo treatment and retained fifty percent of my hair and it just allowed me to feel I had some control over what was going on during treatment.
I know we are living in crazy times right now with COVID19 and it seems like everyone is asking for donations but the world of cancer has not gone away and I ask that you consider donating to this very worthy cause, every little bit helps!
This year I will be walking with my daughter, sisters and nieces, as a team we thank for any donation you can make!
