Have an AwesomeDay
My Dad always cared about others. His last stop on his last trip to the hospital to be told he was terminal was to drop off cookies at a nursing home. He fought cancer for 5 years and I heard him talk about the expenses of cancer for the caregivers more than I ever heard him complain. He was worried about how those living paycheck to paycheck could afford going to Boston or get enough time off or pay for medications or care for their kids, whether it was the patient or the caregiver. He never complained about getting cancer or his treatment or that life wasn't fair-just about how loud everyone was in the hallway or how a system could be improved. His sendoff to everyone, even at the end, was "Have an Awesome Day!" He always made sure he had energy for my daughter who adored him and talks about she misses him two years later. Now she gets to walk to learn that she too can make a difference for others. Please join us.
