Hi Everyone,

This year my family and I will be participating in the annual Lowell General Hospitals Team Walk for Cancer care. As many of you may know my mother Kathy Hand was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in Oct of 2022. Prior to her diagnosis she was beginning to adjust to her new journey of retirement after a long (40+year) career as an LPN at Tewksbury Hospital. For 40 years, she dedicated her life to helping other as a nurse, selflessly putting the needs of her patients before her own. Her compassion and dedication have touched countless lives, and she has made a real differnce in the world.

Now as she faces the challenge with her lung cancer diagnosis, she continues to inspire us all with her strength and resilence. Despite everything shes been through, she remains positive and determined, never giving up hope or losing faith. 

As her child, I have been blessed to have her as my mother. She has been a constant source of love and support, always there to listen and offer her quidance when I needed it most. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith, have been a shining example to me and everyone she has touched.

As she enters this new chapter in her life, even in the face of adversity, she will continue to be a beacon of hope and a source of strength, reminding us all of the power of love and the resilience of the human spirit.
