Stand Tall Aesthetic Flat Closure

Sarah's Stand Tall AFC team!!

Please consider joining us on walk day! Sunday May 19th @ 9am in Lowell MA.

I am walking to raise awareness about the safe and beautiful option of Aesthetic Flat Closure after mastectomy. Want to know more? https://notputtingonashirt.org

This year I'm walking because:

1- To raise awareness of Aestethic Flat Closure as a beautiful option that all people facing mastectomy should be informed about. I will be walking with my fellow flat friends and our friends, family, and supporters to show that Flat is Beautiful! Please consider joining my team! When you register officially with TeamWalk for my Stand Tall AFC team you get a Dr. Wendy Sage Simpsons T-shirt to wear for the Walk! That’s right - There’s a half flat one breasted character on the Simpsons! https://standtallafc.org/gallery/

2 - To raise money for TeamWalk to support fellow cancer survivors. TeamWalk supported me with a mini grant when I was recovering from breast cancer in 2020. Furthermore, I am proud that I work as a nurse at Lowell General, where I received all my cancer treatment. I walk together with the same doctors, nurses and others who took care of me.

3 - Finally, I walk to remember those I've loved who passed away from cancer.

Join my team by registering HERE! Go to join a team and find Stand Tall AFC. It does cost $25 but NO additional fundraising is needed. (If the cost is prohibiting you from joining please reach out to me directly - sponsorship is available.)

In TeamWalk’s own words: Each and every dollar raised stays within the communities that we serve, helping our friends, family members and co-workers. TeamWalk funds make a difference in the lives of today’s cancer patients by paying for medications, nutritional supplements, wigs and prostheses, support groups, skilled nursing visits, transportation, mini-grants, and supportive services to patients of all cancer types. Funds raised enable Lowell General Hospital to provide assistance, support, and services to help people feel better, build confidence and instill hope throughout their battle with cancer. Inspire Hope, Ignite Courage, Join TeamWalk.
